KAISER PERMANENTE® Sees 70% HVAC Energy Savings with Transformative Wave’s CATALYST
Kaiser Permanente is the largest managed care organization in the world, with nearly 170,000 employees and over 431,000 locations.
Kaiser Permanente was an installation identified by Transformative Wave Affiliate GalexC Corporate Conservation. Kaiser was seeking energy efficiency solutions for their 40,000 sq. ft. office and call center facility in El Cajon, CA. GalexC recommended the CATALYST.
Retrofit 14 rooftop HVAC units with the CATALYST. Installation attracted utility participation of approximately 50% of the total project cost. The remainder of project cost was approved for 0% on-bill financing through San Diego Gas & Electric. Project completed February 2012.
Kaiser Permanente provided a great opportunity to apply our technology to a facility with good equipment and extended run-times. The CATALYST is providing over 70% HVAC cost savings and both heating and cooling DCV look promising to provide increased savings throughout the year.
